The Marstallmuseum is located in the historic "Leibpferd stables" in the southern buildings of Nymphenburg Palace. With over forty representative carriages, sledges and riding equipment from Wittelsbacher possession, the museum documents three hundred years of royal carriage construction as well as riding and riding culture. The Marstallmuseum is due to the rich collection of the most important of its kind worldwide. For example, the coronation trolley of Emperor Charles VII, one of the most beautiful state cars of the French Rococo, the Wittelsbach gala carriage and sled, ceremonial vehicles of King Ludwig II, splendid harnesses and precious equestrian accessories.
