In 1993 and 1996, the municipality acquired three dilapidated residential buildings. After the demolition of these buildings, two apartment blocks with nine residential units each - one of which houses "assisted living" - and the market square became possible. The market square was created when Hans Bremmer, as volunteer working group leader for the new building, was able to mobilize people for voluntary work hours in 2010. And so Münzbach got a place to celebrate, which was opened in 2011. This construction project has also been criticized, however, because the appearance of the street village is disturbed by the opening of the house front.
