The Fassberg Airlift Museum, located at the air base in the Südheide region, commemorates the Berlin Airlift of 1948/49 and Fassberg's important contribution to supplying the besieged city. In several Nissen huts, railway carriages, and an outdoor area, the story is vividly told through documents, images, and original objects. A special highlight is the Douglas C-47 "Fassberg Flyer," an original Rosinenbomber, which is the centerpiece of the exhibition. The exhibition is complemented by sections of the Berlin Wall, logistics exhibits, and, more recently, a QR-guided audio guide in several languages.

The museum is open daily in the afternoon from April to October. Admission is inexpensive, and children up to twelve years old are free. Guided tours are available for groups, and there are regular special events such as International Museum Day or holiday programs for children. Even unusual offerings such as civil weddings in the historic Rosinenbomber are part of the concept. The museum combines authentic history, personal experiences and impressive exhibits to create a living place of remembrance.
