The new cormorants will replace those that were sculpted several decades ago by the late Józef Berent - a biology teacher at the Stefan Czarniecki High School in Człuchów, an artist and musician. His fountain referred to the cormorant reserve in nearby Pakatulsk. For many years, only a few birds have nested there. However, cormorants have appeared for several years on one of the small islands on Lake Rychnowskie in Człuchów.
