The nature reserve "Fintlandsmoor und Dänikhorster Moor" is divided into three parts: the Fintlandsmoor (Fintlandsmoor -West and -Ost) in the north, the Dänikhorster Moor (Dänikhorster Moor-Nord and -Süd) in the south, and the grassland areas connecting the two moors.
The raised bog grassland is characterised by species-poor grassland used intensively and nutrient-poor areas of species-poor extensive grassland. Small sedge-rich, nutrient-poor wet meadows are scattered over larger areas. The extensive grassland and the nutrient-poor wet meadows are heavily interspersed with mat grass.
