This sacred place has a long history, possibly dating back to pagan times. Hidden deep in the forest, not easy to find, during World War II it was used by the local population as a place of refuge from the Germans. In the fenced part of "Borowisko" there is an old Orthodox cemetery and a small chapel of St. Panteleimon, built in 1993 in the place of an old church moved to Stryk.
