The church was designed by Jerzy Uścinowicz. Construction work began on August 1, 1999. On October 14, 1999, the cornerstone was laid. The church was consecrated by Metropolitan Sava on May 24, 2010. The interior is covered with frescoes of Jesus Christ, the Mother of God, the saints of the Old and New Testaments.
