    The Rollfähre connects the villages Spitz and Arnsdorf by waterway. The ferry, consisting of two interconnected hulls, has a lifting capacity of 20 t and carries passengers as well as motor vehicles. The loading deck substructure is made of steel, while the superstructures are made of wood. The catamaran construction ensures good stability. The ferry is held by a 485 m long suspension cable, which is stretched across the Danube and anchored on the banks in strong towers. Ferry and carrying rope are connected with a so-called yaw rope. No costly energy is required for the drive, only the flow of the Danube River is exploited. The Rollfähre has a crew of four, each working in pairs. The taxi is also available for weddings.
