The Bad Kissinger Hut cannot be seen from the circular path around the Haldensee and the inflow to it, as the view is obscured by elevations in front of it. You have to climb a few meters on the southern ascents to the various popular peaks in order to be able to look over these elevations and then see the Bad Kissinger Hut right next to the Aggenstein, a breathtaking view.
The inflow to the Haldensee is fed by the Strindenbach, which draws its water from the slopes of the Strindenschartenkopf (1937 m) and, with smaller lateral inflows, the slopes of Litnisschrofen (2068 m), Lochgehrenspitze (1995 m) and Sulzspitze (2084 m).
