Site Transitoire is a symbolic way station ideated in 1993 by french artist Jean-Paul Philippe in Leonina, Italy. He imagined a window, a chair and a desk as a representation of the three fundamental positions that distinguish human existence. The stones of this sculpture outline in space a house with no walls whose ceiling is simply the sky. Creating an enduring and temporary work at the same time, this installation is inserted in an eternal dialogue with nature.

this road is from Mucigliani, which is less traveled, but worth the visit as it also sits atop a hill and had beautiful panoramic views into multiple valleys.
