    As already described by Irvin, one can smell the spring from afar. The water was tested in 2002 and classified as drinkable. You only have to overcome it, it does not taste too bad and it is pleasantly cool even in summer

        Bessingen sulphur spring - definitely a somewhat rarer sight in our latitudes and therefore certainly the landmark of the small town of Bessingen. This spring has served as a water supply, as a healing spring and as a watering hole for livestock for many centuries.
