The Paditzer ski jumps are - in addition to a natural monument in the disused quarry - an early Sorbian fortification. However, the terrain was changed morphologically by the quarry in later centuries and the hill was partially destroyed. In addition to natural steep slopes, two earth walls served as a weir system, which can still be seen today. From the train station, from the direction of Nobitz and from the village of Stünzhain, several narrow paths and a dirt road lead up to the ski jump. You move around in the nature reserve.Unfortunately, there is no further information on site about the Slavic castle stable or archaeological findings. Two steel plinths in the floor suggest that there might have been an information board here.
