A bell tower is a structure of thick wooden or iron beams, in which one or more bells are hung. A bell tower can be located at the top of the church or bell tower, but can also be freestanding. The board of the Moerdijk Local History Foundation has received the bell and the clapper on loan from the Diocese of Breda. The bell and the clapper were found in the cellars of the Roman Catholic church in Moerdijk.
