Picturesque monastery that “perches” above the wine town of Großheubach – after a tour of the church and monastery garden, it’s worth taking a detour to the tavern for a monastery beer. :-)

From the Franciscan monastery you have a wonderful view over the Main valley. In the monastery tavern beer is served from the well-known Kreuzberg monastery. The snacks are also very tasty. In the monastery shop you can buy devotional items and take-away items from the monastery tavern. The monastery has a very long history: the first small church may have stood on the site as early as the 14th century. The complex has now developed into a popular excursion destination and is very popular with visitors, not only at church festivals.
