The church in Lička Jesenica did not perish in the Homeland War.
Temple of St. Prophet Elijah, built in 1751, was damaged in World War II during the partisan shelling of Lička Jesenica. Immediately after 2 St. war was renewed. At the beginning of the seventies, the rotten roof of the church was restored with the help of the Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC) and the self-contribution of a small number of believers in this place.
