From Aichstetten there is a long stretch of forest with a newly tarred road and little car traffic. In the forest there is a bit of an uphill section, although this is rather moderate for someone from Allgäu. From Treherz it becomes hilly with a view all the way to Hauerz. The small archway in Treherz prevents trucks from using the route. The butcher's shop in Hauerz is great and surprisingly cheap.
