Niederwarthaer Brücke

It is the longest cable-stayed bridge in Saxony and was opened to traffic in 2011. The road bridge and the railway bridge run side by side.

The bridge, which offers valuable shade to the Elbe eagle during a short break in midsummer.
Otherwise ... the so-called "Golden Gate" in San Francisco is red, because it is still far away😉
The correct name is "Niederwarthear Brücke" ☝️

... the sign "official staircase" is of course a smile! ;-)

Only a few meters in altitude, which you can master depending on your fitness level.
The way back from Meißen is then to enjoy the Elbe meadows.
We saw and admired a lot of beautiful nature. 👍

Definitely worth seeing for friends of bridge constructions ....

After the bridge on the Radebeul side towards Meissen is after about 1 km the stop at Skopi, the gardener host a must. A beautiful garden overlooking the Elbe and good food and refreshments are just worthwhile.

Right here at the bridge there is also a nice Radlerstop to "refuel" 😅

In 2011, the newly built bridge was then opened to traffic. Nearby is recommended for cyclists Skopis Elbgarten with its shady places. Good price-performance ratio👍

with extra track for bicycles and pedestrians, sometimes a bit narrow, but it works
