Here stands a memorial stone erected in 1994, which commemorates the Jewish people who fell victim to Nazi barbarism.

The bronze plaque reads: "The community of Wohratal remembers its residents who were persecuted, expelled, deported, tortured and murdered by henchmen of the inhuman tyranny of the Nazi regime between 1933 and 1945 because of their ethnicity, their faith, their convictions or their resistance. More than a third of the members of the Jewish communities of Wohra and Halsdorf lost their lives. The Jewish communities no longer exist. The Wohra synagogue was moved by the Jewish community of Giessen to its community center in Giessen in 1992. The victims warn us: nip it in the bud! 1994."
