It is located in the northwest of the Jasmund peninsula and includes the water areas and adjacent land areas of the Mittelsee and Spyckerscher See as well as a small part of the Great Jasmund Bodden to the south. Great view of the two lakes with their heath and moor landscape.

Below Glowe is the Spyker Lake. It is a marginal waters of the Great Jasmunder Bodden. Together with the Middelsee Lake, Spyker Lake was declared a nature reserve in 1990.
