The exhibition on the history of Hradec Králové features three attractive models - a model of the town before 1420, a model of Hradec Králové as a military fortress in 1865, and a third model showing the town at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. Part of the East Bohemian Museum is dedicated to the Battle of Chlum in 1866. The exhibition commemorates the Prussian-Austrian battle that took place in the vicinity of Hradec Králové on July 3, 1866.
