The Bono publico staircase, whose name refers to the "public good", connects Velké náměstí on the elevated historic center of Hradec Králové with Comenského Street below. It was built on the site of the original Fisherman's Fort, which, like the later staircase, led to the square between the bishop's residence and U Špuláků's house.
