This is where the former railway line between Karlshamn and Vislanda ran. The 78 km long stretch was inaugurated on June 29, 1874 and operated until May 30, 1970. Parts of the old route are now used as a cycling and hiking path (Banvallsleden). At this point, however, the route is only marked by a short stretch of rail.
