Tips
Åsnen National Park includes the archipelago in the western part of the lake and adjacent areas. The entire lake Åsnen is 150 square kilometers and has well over 1000 islands. The entire region around the lake is a paradise for nature lovers and invites you to numerous activities on the water and on land. But there are also many testimonies from ancient times that prove that Åsnen and its surroundings have been inhabited since time immemorial. Ancient orchards in the south of the lake and a centuries-old pre-industrial iron smelter in the north are other exciting destinations to visit around Sweden's new Åsnen National Park.
