The plaque is located along the canal port of Cesenatico, on the external wall of the Maritime Museum. It was inaugurated by Mussolini in 1939 and bears the names of the people of Cesenatico who died for their country during the wars of independence, the First World War, the colonial ventures in Somalia and East Africa and the war in Spain in 1938.
