This Georgian park was laid out in 1788 and was built for fashionable and wealthy residents of Leeds with grand houses surrounding a public park. In 1878 John Barron built St Pauls House a cloth and cutting works on the south side which was built in a grand Arabic style. It's a small hidden calming, oasis in the middle of a busy commercial area of the city. It's often used for art events such as 'light night' Leeds. Most of the houses are now offices, mostly solicitors and barristers.
