At the highest point of the Cuesta de la Torre hill there are remains of an ancient Arab watchtower from the 9th and 10th centuries. Only the ruins of a small wall remain, although pieces from the Muslim era have been found and it must have been an important surveillance post for the Anchuelo valley.
