The present church stands on the site of the previous one, which was pulled down due to its poor technical condition. In 1873, the tower was acquired for the new church from the gothic church in Pruchna (also under the invocation of St. Anna), which was being dismantled at that time. In 1877, concrete foundations for the church were laid and its walls began to be erected. The following year the church was ready.
