In 1986, a "small" ethnographic open-air museum was created at the new museum location in Gosławice. On an area of 0.5 ha, 5 objects of old wooden architecture from our region were erected, the functioning of which was threatened in their former location.
The open-air museum consists of:
- a cottage from Kopojno, Zagórów commune - dated 1887, with beams dated 1784 with a two-bay layout and a post-and-beam wall structure with corners connected at quoins. It has a hipped roof originally covered with straw and after the roof was renovated in 2002 with reeds. Currently, it is used to exhibit the interior design of a peasant cottage and to present household equipment, everyday tools on the farm and crafts. Every year, one room is adapted to present a selected craft workshop.
- a barn from Czepów Dolny, Zagórów commune Uniejów, dated 1873, with a post-and-beam wall structure and corners connected by a "fishtail" method with a gable roof currently covered with reeds. Its interior is used for the presentation of agricultural machinery and equipment and for outdoor events organized in the open-air museum.
- a "koźlak" windmill from the village of Bolechowo, Kazimierz Biskupi commune from the 19th century. It has complete original equipment with interesting technical solutions. Previously located in the area of mining activity, it was dismantled by the mine and erected in the open-air museum in 1986.
- the second "koźlak" windmill was assembled from elements of destroyed windmills from Kotwasice, Malanów commune and Goranin, Ślesin commune. It was adapted for educational and exhibition activities.
- a forge with arcades covered with roof tiles is a reconstruction of a no longer existing forge from Tarnów, Tuliszków. It has rich blacksmith equipment and from time to time horse-shoeing shows are organized there.
