For a number of years Kaiaua chipshop was voted Best in NZ - probably because they catch their own fish. We've had crumbed Snapper there that had been pulled out of the ocean, onto ice, and into us within an hour. There's a reason motorcyclists cross the region to eat fish and chips on the beach here.
