Duckboards (Pitkospuut) is a walkway built on a swamp or other wet place, such as lakeshore wetlands. Longboards are built from one or more planks or split wood placed next to each other. The name refers precisely to the fact that the trees are longitudinal in relation to the direction of travel and not transverse, as is often the case in a wooden bridge. Sometimes there are even 3–4 trees next to each other. In nature sites where accessibility has been invested, there may be wide long wooden paths that can also be used by wheelchairs. Wikipedia.
