The tunnel between Vágar and Streymoy is open to cyclists. It goes down to 105 meters below sealevel and the maximum gradient ist 6,9 %. In the direction of Vágar, there immediately follows a climb to a "pass" of 220 meters. The traffic is moderate to rather heavy, including trucks and busses. There are parking spaces every 500 metres and there is a small sidewalk over the whole length. On the deepest point, there is a light installation by the Faroese artist Brandur Patursson.
