Hiking
It is situated on and around the old 16th century rampart. The neighbourhood is characterised by narrow streets and historic buildings on the Tuinpad, Vissteeg, Kandeelstraat and Molenzicht. For many it is an undiscovered part of Terneuzen. The neighbourhood offers accommodation to an information point, small-scale catering establishments and holiday homes. An oasis of peace during the week, bustling in the weekend, right in the centre, where there is something for everyone.

The sea creatures represent fishmongers. The pigeons represent a racing pigeon fancier. The bottle of liquor represents the custom of serving liquor to neighbors in the home of a newborn child. The toilet building suggests that there was once a rather disreputable latrine in the alley. The caravan owner also lived there. And the black figures represent the first Black person in the city, who opened a jazz bar. The musicians are also part of it.
