The Ojo de la Fuente or Zacatín Bridge is an ingenious underground structure beneath the Plaza Mayor to relieve the water that runs down the ravine that separated the Arab and Christian quarters. The tunnel is 70 metres long and took 118 years to build. The works were completed in 1794.
