This easily accessible Allgäu summit offers something for everyone, in every season and at any time of the day. In summer there are numerous options to get to the summit. In winter, the numerous variants are definitely interesting to come back down :-)
TIP: You should definitely marvel at the sunset over Lake Constance from the Hochgrat and be enchanted by the panorama in the moonlight!

A fantastic view. The summit is quite easy to reach from the summit station of the Hochgratbahn. Those who are hardworking run up from the very bottom. In winter you should have good snowshoes or touring skis with climbing aids. There are good opportunities for a nice snack at the top.
That is really a highlight. It is definitely worth climbing the summit, even if the way there can be steep. There is also an easier way up stairs. It is easy to reach from the summit station of the Hochgratbahn.
An absolute must. No matter if summer or winter. The view is terrific. You can also take the mountain railway. But you have to walk the last bit

From Blaichach on the Gunzesrieder Säg to Mautstion.Maut costs 4 € at the machine. Here you choose the tour Scheidwanger Alpe. Drive up to Alpe Scheidwang. Follow the signs to the Hochgrat. Attention, we have missed the turn off the road to the trail. Here follow the sign 3 in the streambed. Only to Hochgrathaus Wandert is possible, it leads the way below the Hochgrathaus. Then the tour is also possible for less experienced. The way back from the summit can be done via another flatter route from the Hochgrathaus. ,

In summer a great path from the mountain station to the summit, but in winter make sure that it is accessible. Not necessarily recommended, especially on slippery snow and ice with children. Meter-high snow lets the safety ropes partly. disappear.
If you want to take the gondola up, check the website beforehand to see if it goes. If the wind is stronger, the operation is stopped even if the Imbergbahn is still running. The view of the high Alps and Lake Constance is breathtaking with the appropriate distance.
