At about 1200 meters the path leaves the woods to follow the panoramic grassy ridge. It is an area that, if traveled in late Spring-Summer, is easy to encounter the precious but feared vipers, the times I have passed there I have always encountered them, and quite large ones too. It is possible to avoid the ridge by bypassing the trail on the left a little inside the woods.
