Civitas Calvi – semper fidelis... The eternally faithful city...

Legend has it that Christopher Columbus was born in Calvi. That's why a statue was built on the square in front of the citadel. But, as always, there are other cities that adorn themselves with Columbus. The birthplace should also be here. You can find it on the tourist office maps. Somewhere in the city there is a tongue-in-cheek sign: "Maison du Culomb - La ruine".
