Hiking the Kilmartin is a stunning travel into the prehistoric world of Scotland. You will find beautiful standing stones, cairns and the landscape is breathtaking.

It's a fantastic hike trough a part of the Kilmartin Glen with great views to the surrounding hills. To see all this prehistoric monuments was very impressive to me. Most I loved the Stading Stones. Make sure that you are wearing outdoor shoes, you have to cross some muddy places to get to the stones.

Very nice starting point for hike past the stone circle and burial mounds (the first - southernmost - is the most interesting and beautiful) to the Carnasserie Castle ruin through the valley and on the way back Kilmartin with church (great grave slabs next to church in roofed Räumchen), nice old hotel, Visit museum and coffee.
