The fountain source in the Nero Valley has been switched off since March 2018. This was not a natural source, but rather a drinking water pipe like in every household. Until March 2018, drinking water ran 24 hours a day, seven days a week for at least nine months of the year. Particularly in times of climate crisis, persistent dry periods and the resulting requirement to use water resources sustainably, the Parks Department has decided to no longer activate this fountain.
