Five or six stones with checkerboard (2) or checkerboard-like patterns (3) have been used from the medieval church.
Checkerboard 1 on the west wall of the tower is a very indistinct checkerboard stone with a cross on its upper right half. To the left of the cross is a bowl-shaped semicircle with a vertical line at the top and below it a circle with a cross (or crosses). The latter is thought to be a consecration sign for the consecration of the church;
