This stone tower mill was built around 1735. A weather vane in the shape of a horned horse was placed on its rotating hood.

The Eenhoorn has a turbulent history. In May 1831, the mill just survived the floods, but a year later it was plundered by the Dutch army. In 1943, the Eenhoorn was protected as a monument. During WWII, first English artillery and then V-bombs damaged the mill.

Due to the expansion of the Antwerp port, the Eenhoorn was purchased by the city of Antwerp in 1966 and transferred from the Kruisweg to its current location on the Scheldelaan.
