Whether you're looking for a sporty or leisurely hike, the waterfall trail from Loderbichl up to the Almenwelt Lofer (or down) is the ideal way to cool off while hiking, especially on hot days. The trail takes you through shady forests past rushing waterfalls and crystal-clear mountain pools. Once you're at the top, you can go even higher, depending on how much energy you have left - storm a peak or race to the red marble lake. And: what you earn is what you earn, so stop off at one of the mountain inns. It tastes twice as good up there.
