The Hamburg lighthouse at the Alte Liebe was built in solid construction at the beginning of the 19th century, namely from brick. The cylindrical brick lighthouse is the oldest on the German North Sea coast. Although it is no longer in operation, it is and remains one of the landmarks of the city and the port.
