According to another story, two brothers, leaders of two enemy armies, are said to have met here. One is said to have camped at the "Hannewalder Cross" and the other at the "Fleischhacker Cross".
It is also said that at the time of the Turkish and Kuruc invasions, there were sentries at the column who warned their fellow countrymen of the approaching danger by putting up a flag. [Marterl.at]
