Road cycling
Only take this part of the EV when you have no other option. Recommend to stay on the Serbia side. It's crowded with many trucks, no space for cyclists and lots of glass and thorns on the road. This was the part where we felt most unsafe of our whole Germany -> Istanbul bike trip. Also the surroundings are a bit dodgy, we saw many protitutes at the parking lots etc.

Very busy section on the Eurovelo6. Not recommended!! Unfortunately there is no alternative route except on the Serbian side.

It is completely incomprehensible how this section can be defined as Eurovelo. Even though most cars overtake at a distance, there is simply no room for bicycles. Be careful if you have to go there.
