The largest honorary cemetery in Saarland. 2,460 dead rest here, including 1,510 fallen German soldiers and civilian war victims. 950 war dead come from other nations. They were mostly forced laborers and prisoners of war.

The cemetery was extensively renovated in 1975 by the air landing company of the parachute battalion 263 Saarlouis and the community of Schwalbach.
