The old pier built on stilts in the Ardonha and Juncal (Nadadouro) area was recently rebuilt, making way for a new wooden pier with nine entrances and a walkway that runs along the edge of the lagoon. The intervention aims to restore the heritage, but also to support fishing activities and provide a place for contemplation. A bird observatory will also be built.
