The Friedrich-Karl-Sprudel was built from 1929 to 1930 on behalf of Dr. Albert Vogelsberger, the director of the local carbon dioxide plant at the time. The result was an artesian spring that not only provided sufficient carbon dioxide, but also mineral water in large quantities and with an exceptionally high mineralization.
