Dukla received city rights in 1380.
During this period of history, neighboring cities also received city rights: Rzeszów in 1354, Jasło in 1365, Krosno in 1367, Rymanów in 1376, Brzozów in 1413. The monument has a modern character. Below the obelisk, a pond with different water levels and overflows was divided into sectors.
