The "Golden Well" is the name given to the place with the chapel of St. Jan of Dukla at a spring on the trail from Dukla to Cergowa. This place, also accessible via the nature trail from Cergowa, is, according to local tradition, associated with the hermit life of Saint. Jan of Dukla, born around 1414. In this place he founded a well called "golden".The Golden Well remains a pilgrimage destination, and indulgence masses are held here on the third Sunday of July.

Another place of worship of St. Jana of Dukla is the so-called The Golden Well. For the first time, chroniclers noted its existence in 1896. Next to the chapel, located on the forested top of the Cergowa mountain, there is a spring enclosed in a well. According to the tradition of St. John was supposed to spend whole nights in prayer and undergo various mortifications in this place.Prepared by: Fr. Dr. Aleksander Sitnik OFMSource:
