The massive ground floor received its current shape with a round-arch portal and round-arch windows in the first half of the 19th century. The cellar entrance on the northern narrow side of the building is inscribed with a date of 1747. Vilbel's historic town hall is still used by the public; the registry office is currently located on the ground floor and the town archives on the upper floor.
